However, the soul of the girl did not die. She hated the evil waves in the sea. Her spirit turned into a bird, the wild flowers on her head into a pattern on her forehead, and the little red shoes on her feet turned into red claws. She vowed to fill the East China Sea!
In order to strengthen their own strength, Jingwei and petrels formed a spouse, reproduction, so that their spirit passed down from generation to generation, in order to continue the cause of reclamation, until the sea is filled up. Jingwei and Haiyan give birth to children, the female is like Jingwei, the male is like Haiyan.
Jingwei bird kept carrying stones and branches from the west mountain and throwing them to the East Sea. Throw it in the morning, at night, then, and finally. Jingwei's reclamation of the sea stirred the gods. Shuishen Gonggong admired Jingwei's spirit, so he brought down the flood, washed the sediment on the plateau into the sea, and made the sea yellow. Therefore, the Yellow Sea area in the northern part of the East China Sea is called "Yellow Sea".
When the sea finds that it is really in danger of being filled up, it takes measures to push the sediment to the shore with the tide, and the sediment settles down on the shore, forming a sea beach. When the tideland became thick and large, people surrounded it and transformed it into fertile land.
