Ancient ape man in China

China is one of the cradles of human origin and growth. In Kaiyuan, Lufeng and other places of Yunnan Province, the fossil Lama ape has been found, which is a human being in the process of forming 8 million years ago, indicating that China is one of the places of human origin.

After modern scientific research, about 3 million years ago, man was completely formed, which is the early ape man. By about 2 million years or 1.5 million years ago, it developed into late ape man. In 1965, two incisors belonging to the late ape man were found in shangnabang village, Yuanmou County, Yunnan Province. They are 1.7 million years old. After 1961, an early Paleolithic site was found near Ruicheng County, Shanxi Province, which is estimated to be at least 1.8 million years ago. It shows that as early as 1.7-1.8 million years ago, ape man had been active in China.

There are many fossils and sites of ancient human which are later than Yuanmou people in China. In 1963, a complete mandible fossil of ape man was found in CHENJIAWO, Lantian County, Shaanxi Province; the next year, an incomplete skull fossil of ape man was found in gongwangling. The former was about 650000 years ago, while the latter was about 750000 to 800000 years ago. The eyebrow ridge of Lantian ape man is very thick, the forehead is low and flat, the mouth is prominent, and the teeth are large. The skull is thick and the brain volume is small. The occipital part of the skull is broad and round, with a wedge-shaped outline. This shows that their constitution has more primitiveness.
