Ceramic technology

The ceramic industry has changed significantly from ceramic technology, kiln structure to management.

By the late Neolithic age, there was a fast wheel. The pottery body shaped with fast wheel had regular shape, uniform thickness and greatly improved production efficiency. The structure of the ceramic kiln has been greatly improved. The kiln room has been expanded to make large pottery or a large number of pottery at one time. The fire chamber has been deepened, the fire mouth has been reduced, and the branch fire passage and grate hole have been increased, which not only strengthens the firepower, but also makes the kiln room heated evenly.

At the same time, the primitive people also mastered the technology of sealing the kiln tightly at high temperature, so that the iron of the ceramic body can be fully reduced, and the gray or black pottery can be fired, which is hard and compact. Some of the firing temperatures are as high as 1000 ℃, generally above 950 ℃. This high temperature operation technology has laid a foundation for metal smelting.
