Confucius was very proud, so he named his son Kong Li.
What does Confucius rely on to support his family? It's supposed to be in the countryside. After that, he got a "job" and worked as a "commissar" of a small warehouse official under Ji sun, a powerful minister of the state of Lu. In fact, he was an accountant.
Confucius knew that he had no capital. He was not good-looking enough to eat. He couldn't count on "gnawing at the old" and had to work hard. He didn't dislike the trivial and vulgar work. He stayed in the warehouse all day, receiving and delivering goods, and keeping accounts. At that time, the bookkeeping was on bamboo slips. Every batch of goods in and out had to be engraved with a knife. He didn't miss a knife.
It's a cheap job, but it's not easy to do it well. His predecessor was expelled by Ji sun because of the confusion of accounts and suspicion of corruption.
Confucius was different. He knew that a poor child would have to work hard to get ahead. Over time, he summed up an experience: "it's just accounting." In other words, accounting is nothing more than accuracy.
It is said that this is the first accounting maxim in the history of China.
Ji sun was surprised: I didn't expect this handsome man to do this job so well! As soon as he was happy, he gave Confucius a new control "Chengtian", but he was still a small official - managing cattle and sheep.
Confucius had no complaints, but he did it meticulously. Later, he once said, "I'm a little cheap, so I can do a lot of despicable things."

In his early years, Confucius was not an official, not even an official. He didn't become a senior official until he was 50 years old.
