Is Liu Bang's expedition to Xianyang a good job or death?

When King Huai of Chu and his officials were busy fighting for power and profit in Pengcheng, Liu Bang, who was 200 li away, had already left dangjun. The tiger returned to the mountain forest and the Dragon entered the sea. He started his long planned journey to Xianyang, where he had been for a long time.

As early as he left Fengyi, Liu Bang should have made up his mind to march westward to Xianyang. So he left behind his wife, empress Lu, and a son and a daughter. Of course, he also left Liu Taigong's family behind, but he took his mother, Liu Yi, who was at least 60 years old, and marched westward. Perhaps the reason for doing so is to let her old man return to her hometown, where she has been away for a long time, to visit her relatives and friends, to surprise her relatives and frighten her enemies, and perhaps to get back her reputation and return her son to wealth and glory. Or is it because Liu Yi's supervision and encouragement is the common plan of mother and son. Unfortunately, at this time, it's time to realize my lifelong wish for my mother. My mother, Liu Yi, has been buried under a handful of loess in xiaohuangcheng. She can only protect her son's safe journey, return to her hometown and make a name for herself.

There is a saying that Liu Bang was the first to enter Xianyang and perish Qin Dynasty because King Huai of Chu and his ministers hated Xiang Yu's cruelty, so they sent him to Julu to chew bones and told Liu Bang to go west to perish Qin Dynasty to eat meat and drink soup. He added seven words "accept King Chen and Xiang Liang as soldiers", as if Liu Bang had picked up a big bargain (soldiers were not allowed to accept Xiang Yu, but sent Peigong to collect King Chen and Xiang Liang as soldiers). However, compared with the difficulties of Liu Bang's expedition to the West and the battle with Xiang Yu, we can see that this argument is untenable. What's more, Chen she has been dead for ten months, and some scattered soldiers have been incorporated by others. How can it be Liu Bang's turn? Xiang Liang died in Dingtao, two hundred miles north of Dangcheng. If there are scattered soldiers, they should flee to Pengcheng. Where can Liu Bang "take up the scattered soldiers of Chen King Xiang Liang" in the west?

The real historical facts are just the opposite, "saving the deer" is a sweet job. All the rebel forces suddenly became brave and went to "save" Julu, not to fight with the invincible Zhang Han, but to see that Mingtang was waiting to eat meat and drink soup to make a fortune!, Xiang Yu's 19 flaws in the battle of Julu, on the contrary, the western expedition to Xianyang is tantamount to death.

It is well founded to say that Liu Bang's expedition to Xianyang is tantamount to death.

Just over a year ago, in September of the first year of Qin II, Zhou Wen, a famous man, was a disciple of Huang Xie, the Prime Minister of Chu. He once served as a Japanese official in the army of Xiang Yan, a famous general of Chu. He personally led hundreds of thousands of troops to attack Qin in the west, and he was already in the water. He was only tens of miles away from Xianyang, The soldiers were defeated immediately (in September, Zhou Wenbing was defeated in the Opera), and then they were defeated for hundreds of miles. Finally, they were defeated and died. Liu Bang will not be unaware of this painful precedent and lesson. But now, with only a few thousand newly defeated troops, they left Dangcheng and marched westward. Not to mention thousands of miles along the way, the Qin army controlled countless passes and cities, and the enemy troops did not know how many tens of millions. Once they left Dangcheng alone, they lost their rear base and became the lone army of itinerant bandits. There is no food to eat. If you are attacked by a strong enemy, there is no danger to defend. Once you are surrounded, you have to wait and die. The western expedition to Xianyang was a death. But Liu Bang was determined to die.

Looking at the actual combat: Liu Bang led his troops to leave dangjun, and first marched more than 300 Li northward toward Chengyang. He wanted to go from Chengyang to Puyang, and then march westward along the Henan Chi road built by the first emperor of Qin Dynasty. This road is the shortest and the widest. The first emperor of Qin made several tours to the East, all along this road. Liu Bang went to Xianyang to work, should also take this road. The most important thing is that not long ago, when they rescued dong'a with Xiang Yu, they won battles in Chengyang and Puyang (Peigong and Xiang Yu rescued dong'a in the north, defeated Puyang of the Qin army, and slaughtered Chengyang in the East). But soon, Liu Bang encountered Qin army in Gangli near Chengyang, and was attacked by Qin army on both sides. Liu Bang defeated the Qin army and broke through the encirclement.

In November of the third year of Qin II, Liu Bang, who was eager to replenish food and grass, pressed the southeast Changyi, where he met Peng Yue, so he attacked Changyi together with Peng Yue. As a result, he was defeated and had to retreat. It may be that the Qin army in Changyi took advantage of the victory in pursuit, and Liu Bang had to lead his army to the south for more than 200 Li. When they arrived at Licheng, they got rid of the pursuit and were able to take a breath for a while. Li city is only tens of miles away from Dang city. After a round trip, he almost returned to Dangcheng.

In December of the third year of the second Qin Dynasty, Liu Bang met another rebel, Marquis Gangwu Chen Wu, in Licheng. He did not hesitate to attack him. He forced down to Chen Wu and captured more than 4000 troops. After a short rest, Liu Bang found out that there were two rebel forces stationed in the state of Wei, Wei General Huang Xin and Wei Shen Tu Wu PU. He sent someone to contact them and urged them to join forces to attack Changyi again. Liu Bang used his last two successful moves, and rushed northward for 200 Li again. He launched another surprise attack on Changyi, but this time he failed. Liu Bang was defeated and had to retreat again. Two attacks on Changyi, the loss of troops. After seizing more than 4000 people from Chen Wu and merging the Wei generals Huang Xin and Wei Shen Tu Wu Pu's army, the army still had no more than 10000 people. After this failure, Liu Bang may realize that Chengyang (Chengyang) and Puyang are not what they used to be. It is expected that after Zhang Han destroyed the main force of Chu army, he made a new defense here. This road is blocked, and then stubborn north, only to suffer losses.

It has been four months since Liu Bang left Dangcheng for Xianyang. That is to say, Liu Bang had been fighting for four months on the way to the west, and almost had no success in the war with the Qin army. The distance from Xianyang was not shortened at all, and it was still around Dangcheng.

At this time, great changes have taken place under Julu city. Wang Li, the elite deputy commander of the great wall of the three hundred thousand Qin army, surrenders strangely to the rebels without going through a war. Facing Zhang Han, who was only ten miles and five kilometers away from the garrison, and supported 200000 troops and was invincible, the two armies were so close that they could see each other's barracks. Wang Li did not ask for help, nor did he retreat to Zhang Han, nor did Zhang Han send troops to reinforce him. In this way, Wang Li suddenly surrendered, and immediately evaporated in the world, and did not know where to end up. The battle of the giant deer, which is bewildered, will be discussed later.

At this point, we at least know that saving the deer is the sweet job. Liu Bang led only a few thousand troops, knowing that more than a year ago, Zhou Wen's hundreds of thousands of troops attacked Xianyang and destroyed it, but he bent on the western expedition, which was undoubtedly to die.

The reason why Liu Bang didn't look back was not only his mother's last wish, but also his ideal of life. He thought he had a gold medal in his hand. Later facts also proved that the thing he thought was the gold medal of death free did work. Please also elaborate on this matter later.
